1. Driver Requirements

- Renter must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.

- Only authorized drivers listed in this contract may operate the vehicle.

2. Payment & Deposit

-  Full payment is required prior to vehicle release.

-  A deposit of 50% is required at time of scheduling rental. 

-  Your credit card will be kept on file until machine is returned and no damage is found. 

- Renter is responsible for any damages up to full replacement value of a new vehicle. 

3. Cancellations

- Cancellations must be made within the first 48 hours after booking to receive a full refund.

- Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance of rental date for a partial refund.

4. Use of Vehicle

- Side-by-side must only be used on legal, designated trails, roadways.

- No racing, reckless driving, or unauthorized towing.

- No operation under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

- No Smoking 

5. Condition of Vehicle

- Vehicle is delivered clean and in good working order.

- Renter agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition.

- Renter is responsible for checking tire pressure, fuel, and safety gear before use.

6. Fuel Policy

- Vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas or a $50 dollar fill up fee will be charged to the card on file.

7. Damage & Liability

- Renter is liable for any and all damage caused during the rental period.

-  A walk-around inspection will be completed before and after rental.

-  Renter agrees to pay for any necessary repairs or cleaning.

8. Insurance & Assumption of Risk

- Renter assumes all risk related to the use of the vehicle.

- Stikine Off-Road Rentals is not liable for injury, death, or property damage.

-  Renter agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Stikine Off-Road Rentals from any claims.

-  Stikine Off-Road rentals is not responsible for any traffic violations or tickets during rental. 

9. Late Return

- Late returns are subject to a $50/hour late fee.

10. Area of Allowed travel 

-  The Renter agrees that the rented vehicle shall not be taken from Wrangell Island unless prior written consent is obtained from Stikine Off-Road Rentals. Travel outside of the designated area without permission will constitute a breach of this agreement and may result in additional charges, forfeiture of the security deposit, and immediate termination of the rental period. The vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking for safety and compliance monitoring.  Any tampering with tracking devices is strictly prohibited and will result in penalties.  To take off island a $2500 security deposit is required. Location must be approved by owner and transportation must be arranged to and from location by renter.
